How do CrossCurrent Credits work?

Our credits work much like other platforms you may be familiar with, but with an extra benefit: they're Flexible! While each credit is exchanged for 1 book, you can use them on either an audiobook or an e-book! They’re an especially good value on audiobooks, but we want you to have the flexibility to use them for e-books, too! Plus, you have the added flexibility to purchase any title – audiobook or e-book – for good old $. This is a great option for many e-books or shorter books that are less than the price of a credit!

You now have the ultimate flexibility to grow your Christian library, all while saving $ and supporting a company that protects your values!

Why can't I find a CrossCurrent app in the App Store or Google Play?

Great question! Right now, you can access all CrossCurrent features from any mobile or desktop browser! This "web app" (see below) gives you all the functionality without needing to download the books you purchase.

We do eventually plan to have iOS and Android apps, but we decided to launch with a "web app" approach initially. This gives us the chance to 1) not get censored early on from the app stores (i.e. Parler, Gab, etc.), 2) continue to perfect the user experience at a lower cost (thus not raising your subscription prices), and 3) position ourselves for the best native app launch possible in the future.

How do I add CrossCurrent to my Home Screen?

Want your books to be just one click away? Add CrossCurrent to your home screen, much like you would an app! Here are step-by-step directions for adding app.crosscurrentdigital.com to your home screen from different browsers: 

  • Chrome:
    1. Open Chrome browser on your device. 
    1. Visit the website app.crosscurrentdigital.com. 
    1. Tap on the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner of the browser. 
    1. From the menu, select "Add to Home screen." 
    1. On the prompt, you can edit the name of the shortcut if desired. 
    1. Tap "Add" or "Add automatically" to confirm adding the shortcut to your home screen. 
    1. Now you should see the app.crosscurrentdigital.com shortcut on your device's home screen. 
  • Safari:
    1. Open Safari browser on your device. 
    1. Visit the website app.crosscurrentdigital.com. 
    1. Tap on the share icon at the bottom center of the browser. 
    1. From the options that appear, select "Add to Home Screen."

What's the difference between a "User Account" and a Subscription?

User accounts are Free for everyone! They allow you to browse CrossCurrent, listen to podcasts (also Free!), purchase books, and access your library. You will also hear about great sales, new books and podcasts, and great content from our marketing team.

You do not need a Subscription to purchase titles. However...

Subscriptions are the best way to maximize your savings when you purchase your books, especially if you love audiobooks as much as we do! CrossCurrent Subscriptions give you Credits, each of which is used to exchange for books. One differentiator that sets CrossCurrent apart from other places (aside from being a truly Christian platform) is that your credits can be used to purchase either audiobooks or e-books!

There are many subscription levels, so you're sure to find the best fit for your reading DNA.

Can I cancel my subscription?

You may cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel a subscription, the most recent subscription payment may be refunded within 15 days of payment, with the surrendering of the credit(s) awarded with that payment. Refunds of purchases and/or subscription payments past these dates may be processed by CrossCurrent Digital at the company's discretion. All refunds may take up to 10 business days for payments to be processed by the payment system and the purchaser's financial institution. All cancellations are processed through our Customer Service department, which can be contacted at [email protected]. Please have the word "Cancel Subscription" in the email subject line. All attempts will be made to address refunds within 2 business days.

Can I return a book for a refund?

A la carte purchases may be refunded within 30 days of purchase. Refunds of purchases past these dates may be processed by CrossCurrent Digital at the company's discretion. All refunds may take up to 10 business days for payments to be processed by the payment system and the purchaser's financial institution. All refunds are processed through our Customer Service department, which can be contacted at [email protected]. Please have the word "Refund" in the email subject line. All attempts will be made to address refunds within 2 business days.

Can I read/listen on a plane?

You won't be able to read e-books or listen to audiobooks on a plane, or any other time you do not have WIFI or cellular data service. Because it's a "web app", you are not able to download content. However, you would be able to download many podcasts, though you would not be able to play the downloaded podcasts through the web app.
